The Ahmed Iqbal Ullah Education Trust

The Ahmed Iqbal Ullah Education Trust was created in 2001. It grew out of the work of the Ahmed Iqbal Ullah Race Relations Resource Centre, founded in Manchester in 1999.

Our educational activities encourage people of all ages and ethnicity to learn more about the contributions of Britain's ethnic minority communities, whilst raising aspirations among ethnic minority young people and their communities. These include:

• Working with community groups to support and encourage the collation of written and oral histories of new and established ethnic minority communities in Manchester, ensuring that this heritage is retained and celebrated
• Providing practical support to schools in developing an anti-racist curriculum
• Facilitating access to educational and historical resources for schools and the wider community
• Organising activities that raise aspirations among ethnic minority young people
• Offering training and support to those working to help victims of racial harassment
