The Steve Cohen Collection
This collection is an important assortment of memorabilia from the over 70 anti-deportation and immigration campaigns fought in Manchester in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.
Steve Cohen was involved in all the campaigns as a lawyer or as an activist, and often as both. The collection itself includes newsletters, bulletins, photographs, newspaper cuttings, videos, letters, posters, banners and t-shirts.
Steve sadly passed away in March 2009. You can find out more about this collection by visiting the National Archive Hub.
Untold Histories
Untold Histories is a collection of resources available for loan to schools and community groups. These resources document the contributions of African, Asian and Caribbean people to world history. The resources include videos, books, tapes and posters designed for young people.
There is also a small collection of history and non-fiction books for younger readers in the main centre.
Journals
We have over 20 journal titles featuring articles on race and racism. These include 'Race and Class', 'Searchlight' and the journal we produce: 'Sage Race Relation Abstracts'.
