Vision for the future
In November 2011 we published our Manchester 2020 document, the strategic plan for The University of Manchester.
Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell, President and Vice-Chancellor of The University of Manchester, is responsible for the delivery of this plan, which aims to make our institution one of the top 25 research universities in the world by 2020.
Our aim is to be known worldwide as a place where the highest academic values and educational innovation are cherished, where research prospers and makes a real difference, and where the fruits of scholarship resonate throughout society.
The strategic plan is based around our three core goals of world-class research, outstanding learning and student experience, and social responsibility.
