Using the library

Graduates of The University of Manchester (or the former Victoria University of Manchester and UMIST) are able to join the Library free of charge.
 
Simply present your Alumni Association membership card at the library and they will issue you with a library card.

As a graduate you can borrow up to ten books for four weeks (short loans and seven-day loans are excluded) and can use the Document Supply Service on payment of the appropriate charges.

You can also have access to e-journals and to some electronic resources but due to licencing restrictions general access to the internet is not permitted. Most of the Library's electronic resources are only available to current staff and students.
