MSc degree programmes are designed in a modular format with periods of study at the University and in the workplace. Programmes are designed with industry sectors to tailor style, content and demand accordingly.

These include Master of Philosophy and Doctor of Philosophy programmes as well as the Engineering Doctorate (EngD) degree, which is a professional doctorate combining industry-based research, management courses and professional development activities.
It is especially suitable for companies wishing to offer development opportunities to senior staff. The EngD is an accredited MPDS for ImechE and IEE.
These are valued by the employer and the busy professional. Different formats of study are available, ranging from two-day courses to modular masters programmes lasting three to five years.
