The Manchester Business School offers a range of executive development courses customised to meet industry requirements. We also host a series of short courses and seminars in areas such as management and research skills, health and public sector management.
The School of Chemical Engineering and Analytical Science offer a wide range of short training courses that are open to the public. These courses are in the areas of process integration and environmental management, amongst others.
The Post Experience Vocational Education Unit (PEVE) provides an important link between the School of Computer Science and industry by facilitating the dissemination of specialist knowledge. It provides hands-on training courses in key computing technologies such as object-oriented design, programming in Java, C and includes a portfolio of distance learning programmes.

The Material Performance Centre offers bespoke courses to industry either on site or in the University premises. Some of the courses are also available online.
From Easter 2009 the School of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering will begin offering a series of short courses aimed at the professional engineer.
The School of Pharmacy is home to the National Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education (CPPE) which provides continuing professional development to all 18,500 community pharmacists in England. A network of 90 local tutors assists in this process.
The Photon Science Institute offers a continuing professional development course for the laser industry. With a flexible course structure and small class sizes, our master classes in laser technology can be tailored to individual needs. Designed in consultation with industry, this practical course covers many aspects of modern laser technology, including laser safety training, patent searching and the laser business. Applications are now being accepted.
