World-class campus

We firmly believe that a great university is made great by its people. But we also need state-of-the-art facilities to help them achieve their best.

Whether it’s world-class researchers, first-rate teachers or talented students, our campus needs to meet their needs so they can have a positive impact on the wider world.

We are proud of our heritage, and many of our iconic buildings were made possible thanks to generous donations. However, some of our other buildings are ageing, cramped, and not fit for purpose for the world-class teaching and research we undertake.

Building for the future

Our campus masterplan is one of the most ambitious investment projects ever undertaken in UK higher education. Our aim is to create a modern, innovative, and environmentally efficient campus; a new jewel in the crown of the North’s greatest city.

We need buildings that inspire our students and allow them to fulfil their potential. We need cutting-edge facilities and equipment that allow our researchers to conduct their ground-breaking research and make an impact not just here, but around the world.

Between now and 2022, we will revolutionise the look, feel, and quality of our campus.

Our plans include a new home for the law school, new campuses for engineering and biomedical sciences on Oxford Road, and the completion of the new building for our Alliance Manchester Business School.

Your support will play a pivotal role in shaping our University for the future. Whether it is £3 or £3 million, all donations matter, and even the smallest gift can have an impact on the creation of our new world-class campus.
