Engaging with research

At Manchester we seek to inspire the next generation of researchers by bringing secondary and sixth-form students, teachers and university research staff together in projects and activities that bring contemporary research to life for young people.

The Research Councils UK (RCUK) funded School-University Partnership Initiative (SUPI) is a three-year catalyst scheme providing opportunities for schools to engage with cutting-edge research at universities.

At Manchester we are using this opportunity to work with schools across Greater Manchester through our Manchester Research Gateway, which enables young learners to discover what it is like to be a researcher and to develop the necessary skills of inquiry.
