Behind the scenes of placental research

A team of mathematicians, physicists, physiologists and clinical consultants from The University of Manchester and St Mary’s Hospital are working together to better understand and prevent pregnancy complications, ensuring healthy outcomes for mothers and their babies.

This project has been supported by the UK Medical Research Council.
