Dr Stefan Güttel awarded 2018 Teaching Excellence Award

The School of Mathematics is delighted that Dr Stefan Güttel, Reader in Numerical Analysis and PhD Director of Applied Mathematics, has been awarded a Teaching Excellence Award 2018. This award recognises his achievements in teaching, learning and the student experience.

Launched in 2005/06, the Teaching Excellence Awards are University-wide awards made to academic and support staff who have demonstrated a significant and sustained commitment to excellence in teaching.

Both academic and related colleagues teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels are eligible for the award, which consists of a £5,000 grant to be used over a period of up to three years. Up to four awards are made across the University each year.

Commenting on his award, Stefan said: "I am delighted to receive this award in recognition of my teaching, and would like to thank my students and colleagues."
