WATCH: Praise as stroke professor receives national award

One of the country’s leading stroke specialists has scooped a national Life After Stroke Special Recognition Award for her pioneering work to transform the quality of stroke care in the UK.

Professor Pippa Tyrrell was presented with her award at a star studded ceremony hosted by the Stroke Association in London and in the video below colleagues pay tribute to her work in transforming services in Greater Manchester, enabling stroke patients to access the ‘gold standard’ of care within the vital first few hours after a stroke.
