Inflammation and Repair is home to five Centres:

Research aims

We undertake clinically relevant translational research with strong links to the NHS and the Pharmaceutical Industry. Our Centres are housed both at the main campus, as well as the three main Manchester NHS Trust Hospitals (Central, South and Salford).

Research expertise

We have an accelerating Youth team with NIHR Fellows and Clinical Lecturers, UoM funded Stepping Stones Fellows, MRC/ Wellcome Fellows, MRC/ABPI clinical pharmacology PhD studentships, NIHR SLs and Clinician Scientists. We have a strong IP and spinout performance. We have a major commitment to postgraduate (lead Healthcare Scientist Masters programmes) and undergraduate education.

Staff in other Faculty institutes, University schools, and NHS partner trusts will be affiliated to the Institute to contribute to shared programmes of work.
