International students guarantee

Full degree students

All students who come to Manchester unaccompanied from overseas and pay the overseas rate of fees are guaranteed a place in University-managed accommodation with a free internet connection, for the duration of their course.

This offer is dependent on a number of conditions:

• You have met any conditions of, and firmly accepted the offer of, a course of study
• You have submitted an application for accommodation by 31st August
• For each year after your first year, your re-application for accommodation is received by the deadline in February

Study Abroad and Exchange (SAE) students

SAE students who come to the University for a year as part of their degree are guaranteed a room in University-owned accommodation for their time in Manchester.

SAE students coming for one semester only are not guaranteed accommodation but will almost certainly be allocated University accommodation under normal circumstances.

Erasmus students

Erasmus students who come to the University for a year as part of their degree are guaranteed a room in University-owned accommodation for their time in Manchester.

Erasmus students coming for one semester only are not guaranteed accommodation and are advised to look to the private sector.
