Although you may have missed the Orientation Programme there is still plenty of information available to guide you though your first few days at The University of Manchester. This page gives you a suggested outline of what you should do in order to settle in quickly, allowing you to concentrate on the more enjoyable aspects of university life.

• Register with the police: Check your visa to see if this is necessary
• Open a UK bank account: Essential if you want to pay your fees in instalments
• Register with a local GP: Get more information about UK health services

• Get to know your Students' Union: Representation, welfare, societies, and more
• Support: Learn more about what's available to you, including language support
• Security: Keeping yourself and your belongings safe
