We provide a warm welcome to Manchester at the start of the academic year in September.
We offer a free coach service from Manchester Airport to our halls of residence for students who are arriving on their own and staying in University accommodation. This service is only available during international orientation week.

There are taxi ranks outside all three terminals and the fare should be between £20 and £25 to University accommodation. Only black cabs, also known as hackney cabs, are licensed to take passengers without a booking in advance, so ensure you use one of these.
There is a train station at Manchester Airport. A shuttle bus service is available to take you from the airport terminals to the train station, or you can easily walk to through the airport and follow the signs for the train station.

It may also be possible to walk or take a bus from the train station to your accommodation, depending upon where your accommodation is located.
There is a bus station at Manchester Airport. To get there from the terminals follow the signs for the bus station. The number 43 public bus departs from the airport bus station and stops close to many accommodation sites, including those in Fallowfield, on the main University campus and in the city centre. Tell the driver your destination when you board the bus and ask the driver to let you know the best stop at which to get off the bus. The bus departs approximately every ten minutes during the day from Monday to Saturday, and approximately every 30 minutes throughout the night and on Sundays. The cost of a single journey should be around £3.
