Introduction

Welcome to the University of Manchester's web pages for students coming from the USA. Some of the information here will also be useful for students who are currently studying in another part of the world, but at a school or college operating the US system.

Whilst we speak the same language, the systems and the words we use here in the UK can be very different, so these pages are designed to help you understand the UK system and what The University of Manchester can offer you.

You will have your own reasons for investigating the University of Manchester and the UK as a destination for your studies, but we think the following are also important to know:

  • You can complete your undergraduate degree in three years;

For graduate students

  • You can complete your Masters in one intensive year;
  • You have the opportunity to focus on a particular subject of interest to you;
