The standard academic entry requirements for a Masters programme will be a Lower Second UK honours degree, or international equivalent, in a relevant science or engineering discipline.

Topics include Coordination chemistry, environmental chemistry, main group and organometallic chemistry, molecular magnetism, nonlinear optics and radiochemistry.

For entry in the academic year beginning September 2014, the tuition fees are as follows:
- MPhil (full-time)
UK/EU students (per annum): Base rate £3,996; With consumables £7,650
International students (per annum): Base rate £20,100; With consumables £20,600
- MPhil (part-time)
UK/EU students (per annum): Base rate £1,998; With consumables £3,825
International students (per annum): Base rate £10,050; With consumables £10,300
All fees for entry will be subject to yearly review and incremental rises per annum are also likely over the duration of the course for UK/EU students (fees are typically fixed for International students, for the course duration at the year of entry).
