History of Science, Technology and Medicine MSc

Duration: 1 year (full-time), 2 years (part-time)

Entry requirements:

An Upper Second-class honours degree, or the overseas equivalent, in an appropriate discipline. An applicant may also be exceptionally accepted based on evidence of previous advanced study, research or professional experience, which the University accepts as qualifying for entry.

Course fees: For entry in the academic year beginning September 2013, the tuition fees are as follows:

  • MSc (full-time)
    UK/EU students (per annum): £6,300
    International students (per annum): £16,500
  • MSc (part-time)
    UK/EU students (per annum): £3,150
    International students (per annum): £8,250

The fees quoted above will be fully inclusive for the course tuition, administration and computational costs during your studies.

All fees for entry will be subject to yearly review and incremental rises per annum are also likely over the duration of courses lasting more than a year for UK/EU students (fees are typically fixed for International students, for the course duration at the year of entry). Scholarships/sponsorships:

Funding is available for well-qualified applicants via the Arts and Humanities Research Board (AHRC) and the Wellcome Trust. A related programme, ' Research Methods in History of Science, Technology and Medicine MSc', is accredited for funding from the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC).
