Career opportunities

Whilst this is a non-vocational programme, graduates have access to a diverse range of career opportunities, directly in the theatre and media industry as producers and artists, or in various related areas such as administration, teaching and educational work. Some students also pursue doctoral study and research.

Students have gone on to work successfully as independent theatre practitioners, in small-scale theatre organisations and venues, and in a range of national and international contexts, including with rural and urban communities in the US, and with theatre-makers in Iran. Some students have continued with us to take up PhD study, for example, researching the function of the voice in documentary performance, and the representation of psychiatry and psychiatric conditions in contemporary British drama.
