Polymer Materials Science and Engineering MSc

Degree awarded: MSc; PG Diploma; PG Certificate

Duration: Full-time: 12-months; Part-time: up to 60-months

MSc qualification:

You will need a UK 2.2 Honours degree in a Science, Engineering or Technology field, or equivalent International degree. 

If you do not meet the minimum requirements and / or have a mix of other postgraduate or professional qualifications and relevant work experience, then your application will be considered for the progressive entry route, which means that you will be registered for the Certificate or Diploma level and you will be assessed at the end of each level before you progress to the next stage.

Course fees: For entry in the academic year beginning September 2013, the tuition fees are as follows:

  • MSc (full-time)
    UK/EU students (per annum): £7,200
    International students (per annum): £18,100
  • MSc (part-time)
    UK/EU students (per annum): £2,400 per 15 credits, dissertation £3,700
    International students (per annum): £2,400 per 15 credits, dissertation £3,700
  • MSc (part-time distance learning)
    UK/EU students: £2,400 per 15 credits, dissertation £3,700
    International students: £2,400 per 15 credits, dissertation £3,700
  • PGCert (full-time)
    UK/EU students (per annum): £2,400
    International students (per annum): £9,600
  • PGCert (part-time)
    UK/EU students (per annum): £2,400 per 15 credits
    International students (per annum): £2,400 per 15 credits
  • PGCert (part-time distance learning)
    UK/EU students: £2,400 per 15 credits
    International students: £2,400 per 15 credits
  • PGDip (full-time)
    UK/EU students (per annum): £4,800
    International students (per annum): £14,400
  • PGDip (part-time)
    UK/EU students (per annum): £2,400 per 15 credits
    International students (per annum): £2,400 per 15 credits
  • PGDip (part-time distance learning)
    UK/EU students (per annum): £2,400 per 15 credits
    International students: £2,400 per 15 credits

The fees quoted above will be fully inclusive for the course tuition, administration and computational costs during your studies.

All fees for entry will be subject to yearly review and incremental rises per annum are also likely over the duration of courses lasting more than a year for UK/EU students (fees are typically fixed for International students, for the course duration at the year of entry).
