Degree awarded: MRes HSC, PGDip Res HSC, PGCert Res HSC

Duration: MRes: 1 year (FT); 2 years (PT)

Entry requirements:

  • An honours first degree (normally 2.1 or above, *) in a relevant subject from an approved higher education institution.

and

  • For part-time students, written support of their employer to attend the programme and to complete any necessary requirements.
* Applicants with a 2:2 honours first degree  may be considered on the basis of documented evidence of exceptional innovative practice, practice leadership, service development, research projects and publications.  Such evidence must be clearly described in any application.

Course fees: For entry in the academic year beginning September 2013, the tuition fees are as follows:

  • MRes (full-time distance learning)
    UK/EU students: £6,300 (total for completion in one year)
    International students: £13,000 (total for completion in one year)
  • MRes (part-time distance learning)
    UK/EU students: £2,100
    International students: £4,333 per annum
  • PGCert (part-time distance learning)
    UK/EU students: £2,100
    International students: £4,333 per annum
  • PGDip (full-time distance learning)
    UK/EU students: £4,200 (total for completion in one year)
    International students: £8,666 (total for completion in one year)
  • PGDip (part-time distance learning)
    UK/EU students (per annum): £2,100
    International students: £4,333 per annum

The totals given above are estimations based on completion of all elements within the year stated. The unit and dissertation costs are subject to yearly incremental rises and these values will increase next July.
