Teaching and learning
Teaching in orthodontics will be provided throughout the programme. This element will include tutorials, seminars and clinical demonstrations. Students are encouraged to attend other relevant seminars in other clinical disciplines to gain a broad-based perspective of orthodontics.
Instruction will also be given in clinical and laboratory aspects of orthodontics. These will take the form of demonstrations, seminars and practical laboratory exercises.
Progression and assessment
Students are assessed on their clinical development and factual knowledge of the subject by way of accredited examinations in each of their 3 years of study.
- Research Methods component: Formal assessment takes the form of two tutor-marked assignments
- Biostatistics component: Formal assessment takes the form of two tutor-marked assignments
