Course description

  • The skills and knowledge to apply to public health concerns at local, national and international level
  • The ability to apply relevant theory and scientific principles to practical situations
  • The capability of meeting core-competencies in public health

Fees

For entry in the academic year beginning September 2014, the tuition fees are as follows:

  • MPH (full-time distance learning)
    UK/EU students: £6,600
    International students: £12,000
  • MPH (part-time distance learning)
    UK/EU students: 733 per 15 credits and £733 for dissertation
    International students: £1,333 per 15 credits and £1,333 for dissertation
  • PGCert (part-time distance learning)
    UK/EU students: 733 per 15 credits
    International students: £1,333 per 15 credits
  • PGDip (part-time distance learning)
    UK/EU students: 733 per 15 credits
    International students: £1,333 per 15 credits

The fees quoted above will be fully inclusive for the course tuition, administration and computational costs during your studies.

All fees for entry will be subject to yearly review and incremental rises per annum are also likely over the duration of courses lasting more than a year for UK/EU students (fees are typically fixed for International students, for the course duration at the year of entry). Additional Course Expenses

The course fees include all the tuition, technical support and examinations required for the course, but you are likely to incur some additional costs:

  • Maximum of one core text book per unit (approximately £30 per book)
  • Communication costs for internet use and telephone
  • StatsDirect package (approximately £20)

Core text books and a copy of StatsDirect are provided free for all international fee paying students.

Costs may also be incurred for travel, subsistence and accommodation charges during the following optional events or units:

  • The residential course for first year students
  • UK Leadership and Public Health Strategy blended learning unit
  • Emergency Humanitarian Assistance blended learning unit
