Ways to study

For the majority of students at The University of Manchester, studying for a postgraduate qualification is done on a full-time basis.

Many of the postgraduate courses can be studied part-time, with varying durations (for details please refer to individual course entries).

Applicants to postgraduate courses from overseas (non-EU) countries should be aware that terms of entry into the UK will normally only allow full-time study.

Distance learning

A number of Schools offer postgraduate courses delivered by distance learning, which is sometimes called distributed learning or e-learning. This allows you to learn by self-study using printed materials and web-based resources.
