Biography

  • I hold a tenured Faculty of Human and Medical Sciences post as Professor of Neuroradiology in the Division of Imaging Science and Biomedical Engineering (ISBE). I've been here since 1993, with my current post beginning in September 1995. Prior to this I was a full time NHS clinical neuroradiologist at the Manchester Royal Infirmary
  • I also hold honorary chairs in Neuroimaging at the Universities of Liverpool and Bangor
  • I have honorary clinical consultant contracts at the Salford Hospitals NHS Trust and the Manchester Royal Infirmary
  • I am Research Division Leader for the Division of Imaging Science and Biomedical Engineering (ISBE). One of ten major research divisions within the University of Manchester School of Medicine
  • My wife Susan is an anaesthetist and Intensivist and we have two children. Theodore (3) and Alexandra (2)
