Biography
Alex obtained his BSc in Nursing in 1990 in Greece, an MSc from the University of Hull, UK in 1991 and his PhD from the University of Birmingham, UK in 1996. With a clinical background in cancer care and more specifically in haemato-oncology and bone marrow transplatation, he has worked both clinically and academically in Greece, the UK, US, Malta and Hong Kong. He has worked up every stage of the academic ladder and he is now Professor of Cancer & Supportive Care at the University of Manchester.
