Caroline Bithell is Senior Lecturer in Ethnomusicology and Arts Management at the University of Manchester. With an academic background in music, social anthropology, and modern and medieval languages, she holds degrees from the universities of Oxford and Wales. Before joining the staff at Manchester in September 2005, she held a lecturing post at the University of Wales, Bangor.
