Maja Zehfuss received her doctorate from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, and holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Post-Compulsory Education (Higher Education) from the University of Warwick. She taught at the University of Warwick from 1999 to 2006, when she joined the Centre of International Politics at Manchester. She co-edits the successful textbook Global Politics: A New Introduction, now moving into its second edition, and has published two research monographs with Cambridge University Press.
Maja Zehfuss is the co-founder of the British International Studies Association Poststructural Politics Working Group which she co-convened from 2001 to 2007. She is a member of the editorial committee of Cooperation and Conflict and of the international advisory board of Journal of International Relations and Development and of In-Spire: journal of politics, international relations and the environment. She served on the executive of the British International Studies Association from 2001 to 2005 and was a member of the Governing Council of the International Studies Association for 2008-09. She was one of the convenors of the interdisciplinary Research Network on Love at The University of Manchester from 2007 to 2009.
