Biography

Phillip Shann is a social scientist and works as a Research Associate in the Centre for Workforce Studies within the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. He developed a specific interest in the sociology of employment while studying for his MSc in 1999/2000 at the University of Stirling, for which his thesis was concerned with work and identity in the fast food industry. After completing his Masters, Phillip lived in Norway for a year before beginning his position here at the University of Manchester in 2001. Since then, he has worked on a number of important research projects concerning the pharmacy workforce.
