Supervision areas:

At the postgraduate level, I would be delighted to work with graduate students interested in any aspects of 20th century southern history and culture, the history of the American media and popular culture, and the modern African American experience.

To date, I have supervised twelve completed PhD dissertations (two of which have generated award-winning books), one completed MPhil, and thirteen completed MA theses.

Current teaching:

At the undergraduate level, I teach various courses on southern, African American, and twentieth century US history.
