Caroline joined Manchester University in 2014 as a Lecturer in Criminal and Medical Law (Teaching and Scholarship). She read Economics at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne and then went on to qualify as a Solicitor and practised in the North West for a number of years before moving to an academic career. She is a highly experienced law teacher having taught across a range of undergraduate and vocational post-graduate law courses including the Graduate Diploma in Law, the Bar Vocational Course and the Legal Practice Course. She is is also an experienced External Examiner for the Legal Practice Course.
Caroline's main teaching areas are criminal law and medical law. She is Joint Deputy Director for the School of Law's Legal Advice Centre.
