The School of Environment and Development (SED) is an internationally distinguished centre for interdisciplinary research on environment-development issues that moves across regional, national and international scales of analysis.
Our research and scholarship, underpinned by academic rigor and applied approaches, reflect a diversity of activities that are of great contemporary relevance for decision makers in government, NGOs and multilateral spheres.
SED staff have authored a diverse range of written publications, from academic journal papers to monographs to major government research reports, on a wide range of subjects across the four discipline areas.
The School currently hosts several externally-funded multi-disciplinary research centres which have established links with governments, multilateral agencies, NGOs and other distinguished research institutions.
