The Institute of Health Sciences (IHS) promotes health sciences research and postgraduate education in Greater Manchester. The institute is a networked organisation made up of research groups within The University of Manchester in partnership with local NHS Trusts.
The Institute has a growing number of members drawn from across the University, Primary Care, and Acute and Mental Health NHS Trusts, all working in partnership to develop opportunities.
There are currently six IHS networks, most with interdisciplinary steering committees. Each network collates details of their members' expertise and skills, making it easier to find collaborators, share knowledge and help influence policy and practice in the NHS and beyond.
