Biography

Ed Amann completed his PhD. at Manchester in 1996. He then moved to St. Antony’s College, University of Oxford, first as Temporary Lecturer in the Economics of Latin America then as the first Research Fellow at the Centre for Brazilian Studies. In September 2000 Ed moved back to Manchester where he is now Senior Lecturer in Development Economics. He is currently Co-Programme Director of the MSc. in Development Economics and Policy. In addition to his position at Manchester, Ed is Visiting Professorial Lecturer at The Paul H. Nitze School for Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University and Leman Visiting Professor at the Department of Economics at the University of Illinois.
