Dr Liping Zhao joined the
Her research concerns both theory and practice of software development. Her theoretical work focuses on the discovery and development of fundamental software patterns, symmetries and models, whereas her practical work applies these fundamentals to the analysis and design of a wide range of software systems, including public transport scheduling systems, e-business systems and financial service systems. She currently has five PhD students working on different aspects of software development.
Liping has a particular interest in linking her research to teaching and has successfully taught five software development related courses in the past. She is currently teaching an MSc course on Pattern-Based Software Development and a second year undergraduate course on Software Engineering. She is leader of the Software Engineering Theme for Undergraduate Programs at
Dr Liping Zhao holds a BSc and PhD in Computer Science.
