Liping Zhao's research concerns both theory and practice of software development. Her theoretical work focuses on the discovery and development fundamental software patterns, symmetries and models, whereas her practical work applies these fundamentals to the analysis and design of a range of software systems, including public transport scheduling systems, e-business systems and financial service systems.
