Trevor Wood-Harper is Professor of Information Systems, Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, having been recruited in 2003 to lead Information Systems research and doctoral education at the new University created through the merger of Victoria University of Manchester and University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology. He has been a full professor for 21 years at 5 universities. Previously Professor Wood-Harper was the £100,000 Foundation Chair in Computing and Information Systems at the University of Salford from 1990 and the Director of the Information Systems Research Institute where he managed the unit from 1992-2003. The Institute was awarded a 2 research rating in 1992, a 4 in 1996 and a 6* in the 2001 Research Assessment Exercise (RAE). Professor Wood-Harper led and prepared the 3 submissions. He is currently also an Associate Editor of the European Journal of Information Systems.
