Dr Michele Berardi - research

Research interests

My main area of research is concerned with the role of expectations in macroeconomics.

I am particularly interested in theoretical models of expectations formation and learning, and their implications for macroeconomic outcomes and policy implementation.

Specific topics relate to the evolution of expectations out of and towards equilibrium; the role of heterogeneity in learning dynamics; the possibility of expectations driven fluctuations; existence and stability of equilibria with heterogeneous expectations; the role of incomplete and dispersed information on learning and expectations; the role of interactions, imitation ad coordination on the expectation formation process of agents.
