I received my PhD in history from Johns Hopkins University in 2000, and since then have taught American history at the University of Manchester. Within the University, I am an active member of the American Studies Research Group and the World Histories Group, and am affiliated with the Centre for the Study of Gender, Sexuality, and Culture and the Centre for Latin American and Caribbean Studies.
