Biography
I was born in North Greece and came to Manchester for higher education studies. I completed a B.Sc (Hons) in Chemistry at Manchester Metropolitan University. I then developed an interest in medical research, partly due to the fact that my fathermis a dentist, which led me to do an M.Phil in the School of Pharmacy and a Ph.D in the School of Dentistry, both of them at The University of Manchester. After completing my Ph.D, I was employed by the School of Dentistry as a Research Associate.
I think Manchester is a vibrant and exciting place and I get the opportunity to indulge in my other passion, which is basketball. I was Club Captain and Head Coach of The University of Manchester Basketball Club and elected as life-time member of the prestigious Club XI. Currently, I coach Stockport Atlas and Stockport Lapwings (EBL, Div II)
