Biography

Pauline Turnbull has worked in mental health research since 2002, initially as a research assistant then associate for the National Confidential Inquiry into Suicide and Homicide by People with Mental Illness, during which time she studied part-time for her MSc in Social Research Methods and Statistics with CCSR (now CMIST). She left NCISH in 2010 to pursue her PhD with CCSR. Her thesis 'The Social Context of Suicide in England and Wales: a multi-level analysis' was funded by an ESRC PhD scholarship.

Pauline worked as Project Manager of the Manchester Self-Harm Project (MaSH) from 2013-2015. She joined NCISH as Project Manager in October 2015.
