Biography

Prof Zhongdong Wang received herBEng degree inHigh Voltage EngineeringandMSc degree in in High Voltage Technologies from Tsinghua University of Beijing China in 1991 and 1993, respectively and herPhD degree in Electrical Engineering from UMIST in 1999. She joined The University of Manchester (then UMIST) in 2000 and currently she is a Professor of High Voltage Engineering at the Electrical Energy and Power Systems Group of the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at The University of Manchester.

Her current research interests include condition monitoring techniques, thermal, electrical transient and magnetic modeling techniques fortransformers,insulation ageing mechanisms and alternative liquid insulating materials.
