Introduction

With academic roots stretching back to 1824, The University of Manchester is one of the most respected universities worldwide. Following an unprecedented £1 billion investment into outstanding research and teaching facilities, the University aims to become a top 25 global provider of education and research by 2020.

Our campus includes more than 10,500 students from 180 countries outside the UK and is at the heart of the city of Manchester, a vibrant and multicultural European metropolis.

The University of Manchester has a long history of welcoming students from Brazil, and we're seeking to increase our engagement with Brazilian institutions by developing academic links, exchanging students, collaborating in research and teaching, and pursuing a range of other partnership activities. A delegation from the University recently visited Brazil to further our links, and we have signed a number of agreements with institutions in Brazil.

We are also delighted to be participating in the Brazilian Scientific Mobility Programme: Ciência sem Fronteiras – Reino Unido. To find out how to join the University under this scheme, please visit Ciência sem Fronteiras – Reino Unido.
