The University of Manchester has enjoyed a close association with Kenya for a number of years. We are one of the UK's most popular destinations for Kenyan students and have an active African Society. We are committed to supporting education in Kenya and have provided a free place to two Kenyan students in each of the last four years as part of the prestigious Kenyan President's Award supported by NCUK.

We currently have 73 Kenyan students at the University. Kenyans apply across the full range of courses available at Manchester. The following fields of study are particularly popular with our Kenyan students:

  • Economic and Social Studies
  • Law
  • Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering
  • Development Studies
  • Business and Management
  • Actuarial Science
  • Chemical Engineering
