Discover Days at Manchester are open to learners of all backgrounds, from any area. Places are limited so participants can benefit from a really personal experience.

How to register

Participants should register for the days by themselves, using the relevant individual registration form. The day involves lots of small group work and the chance to talk to staff and students (so you won't be lonely).

You do not need to be accompanied by a teacher – although teachers are welcome to attend the events if they wish; they can request a place by completing the relevant teacher booking form

Sometimes these events will clash with your regular classes at school or college. If this occurs, please ensure that you have the appropriate permission before you register.

Confirming your place

After you submit your form you will receive a brief, automatic confirmation that your booking has been submitted. Following this you will receive an email from our team to let you know if we can confirm your place.

Discover Days at Manchester are very popular. To guarantee your place, please make sure you reply to our email in order to reconfirm your attendance and confirm that you have permission to attend from your school. Without this confirmation we may offer your place to another applicant.

Please note that our Discover Days are primarily designed for people who are thinking of applying to Manchester and who have not yet made a decision regarding their UCAS choices. You will therefore be given priority if you are in Year 12, or have not yet submitted your UCAS application.

Students on our Realising Opportunities programme or Manchester Access Programme

Participants in our Realising Opportunities programme are welcome to attend Discover Days. Your participation will count as attending an event at a partner institution.

Participants in our Manchester Access Programme can gain ten units towards their total by taking part in a relevant Discover Day.
