Course description

BA (Hons) History and Russian

  • Gives students the opportunity to experience teaching from across 2 broad areas of the School of Arts, Languages and Cultures bringing together expertise across a wide range of Subject Areas.
  • Students can choose from a wide range of courses, from Ancient, Medieval, Modern and Economic and Social History, as well as in the History of Science, Technology and Medicine.
  • Studies in Russian will enable students to develop their Russian language skills to a superior level, while also developing their interests in and knowledge of a variety of other subject areas (such as film and media studies, sociology, history and politics, literary and cultural studies).
  • Students will be provided with a broad grounding in Russian area studies, with an emphasis on the integrated study of language, culture and society.

Open days

  • The University hold open days regularly (usually June, Sept and October) where you have the opportunity to tour the campus and find out more about the facilities and courses we offer.
  • If you are offered a place, you will be invited to a visit day specifically for your area of study.  On this day you will find out more about the School and its resources, meet members of staff and current students and discuss study aims and qualifications with admissions staff.

Fees
