The Economics and Finance pathway of the BA (Hons) Economic and Social Studies programme - or BA (Econ) for short - is a long-established and popular degree.
Taught by experts in Economics and the Alliance Manchester Business School (home of Accounting and Finance), the degree features a broad range of internationally-recognised and research-led teaching in accounting, finance, economics and law.
You will also benefit from the ties that the University has with the three main accounting bodies (ICAEW, CIMA and ACCA) along with international businesses, such as PricewaterhouseCoopers, Kellogg's and Rolls Royce.
Above all, Economics and Finance offers a flexible and relevant learning experience for anyone considering a career in finance, accounting or banking.
Accounting and Finance (NN43), Finance (N300) and Economics and Finance (LN13) all share a common first year. After your first year you can apply to switch to a different pathway.
