Ways to visit us

Parents and supporters are very welcome to come along with prospective undergraduate students and visit our campus, discovering first-hand the excellent facilities and exciting atmosphere of your son or daughter’s potential future home.

Open days

Every year we hold four University-wide undergraduate open days – normally two in June, one in September and one in October. These provide an excellent opportunity for students, parents and teachers to find out more about our undergraduate courses, combined with the opportunity to visit the University and our facilities.

Guided visits

If you can't attend an open day, you are welcome to visit us throughout the year by joining one of our guided visits. These visits take place on a Wednesday afternoon and are for for individual prospective students and parents.

If your son or daughter has been offered a place at Manchester, or has been invited to attend an interview, you may be invited to attend one of these guided visits by the academic School. Guided visits aim to provide detailed information on the University’s history, its academic record and achievements, and the services and facilities provided for our students.

Self-guided visits

Should you happen to visit Manchester at any other time, you can call into our University's Visitor Centre every weekday between 9am and 5pm to take a self-guided tour of our campus.

University accommodation tours

We run accommodation tours of some of our halls of residence on Wednesday mornings between November and March, from 10.30am until 12pm.

Students, parents and supporters can join a walking tour of the Fallowfield campus, the largest of our three accommodation sites, and see at least one student bedroom (there may be some occasions when this is a room not currently occupied by a student).
