Discover Stem Cell Science - 1 July 2010
Stem cell science offers enormous potential in medicine: from treating paralysis, diabetes and incurable genetic diseases, to healing broken bones and even cloning cells and organisms.
Stem cell biology forms part of several degree courses here in Manchester, including Developmental Biology, Anatomy and Molecular Biology. On this Discover Day we will uncover the secrets behind stem cells - discussing the past, present and future of this pioneering new therapy, as well as hands-on workshops using stem cells. This Discover Day will also give you an insight into the many types of stem cell research that is happening right here and now in Manchester.
