Confirming your attendance using Self Service

Log in to Self Service and follow the steps below to confirm your attendance. You will need your University of Manchester user ID, which is the seven-digit number included in your acknowledgment, offer letter and any pre-confirmation mailings..

If you are logging in for the first time, your password will be your date of birth in the following format: ddmmyyyy

1. Click on the 'Log in to Self Service' link below
2. Select 'Student Admissions' in the Self Service menu
3. Select 'Accept Admission'
4. Click on 'Confirm Attendance or Withdraw'
5. Click 'Confirm Attendance'. Please do not click here to withdraw. If you wish to withdraw or be released into clearing, please email as12@manchester.ac.uk.
6. To confirm your attendance, click 'Confirm attendance'
7. You should now see: 'Thank you for confirming your attendance on this programme. We look forward to welcoming you!'

Requesting deferral or a release into clearing

If you would like to request a deferral or a release into clearing, please email your academic department, making sure you include the following details:

• Your UCAS personal ID
• Your name
• Your UCAS course code 
• The reason for release (if applicable)
